Sacramento’s Premier Literary Event
The 8th annual Authors on the Move was held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Sacramento from 5 – 10 p.m. Authors on the Move – Sacramento’s premier literary event – is a fundraiser for the Sacramento Public Library Foundation benefiting the 27 branch libraries with literacy and tutoring programs as well as books and materials.

45 participating authors chatted with guests regarding their writing experiences and latest work. Guests enjoyed a four-course gourmet dinner (one author at each table for the first three courses, keynote speaker during dessert) and had an opportunity to purchase books and get them signed by each author before and after dinner.
Authors on the Move is attended by more than 400 avid readers and library supporters who value books for learning and enrichment and recognize the library’s important role in making reading material widely available to the public.
Authors on the Move 2011 is in the planning stages and will be held in February or March 2011.
Tickets for this spectacular fundraiser are $200 each (table of eight for $1,500). Authors on the Move sells out each year!
